Privacy & Cookie Policy

Have you ever thought about how much personal information you have already shared online? Chances are it’s a lot more than you think. For example, how often have you created a personal account or placed an order online? Not all information is equally sensitive to crime and not all data leads directly to you, but still.

Brandon Smeets Magical Entertainment does everything possible to prevent them from falling into the hands of hackers or unreliable parties. All our data, including yours, is stored on a secure database. And we never pass on personal data to third parties for commercial purposes. It goes without saying that you remain the owner of your own personal data at all times. This means that you may always view, change or delete them. We also promise that if we want to use your data we will first ask your permission.

This privacy & cookie policy applies to the use of our website and our services. Our policy complies with the General Data Processing Regulation. This prescribes that we must inform our customers and website visitors about what personal data we collect, why, what we do with it, who works with it and under what conditions. We also explain how and where we store the data and protect it against misuse and attacks from outside.

The AVG wants us to work even more securely with personal data. The new law gives residents of the European Union more rights, giving us even more control over our own data. Which rights these are, and how you can make use of them, we will explain. Would you like to know more about the AVG? More information can be found on the website of the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. If you have any questions, remarks or if you would like to exercise your rights, please contact us. At the bottom of this page you will find our contact details.

Third parties

For some activities, such as accounting, we work together with external parties. These parties have all entered into a processing agreement with us, promising that they will also comply with the privacy rules. Again, if they want to use your data for another purpose, they must first inform us so that we can ask your permission.

Judicial investigation

Sometimes we are required by law to share data in connection with a tax or criminal investigation by the government. We make use of all possibilities offered to us by law to oppose it.

Right to information on processing

Organisations are obliged to inform the public about their data processing. You have the right to know what happens to your data and why. And that applies with every new processing.

Right of inspection and rectification

As the owner of your data, you may ask us whether your personal data is processed automatically and what data it concerns. You are not obliged to explain the request for inspection. In addition, a parent or legal representative may submit a request for inspection for children up to the age of 16.

You may also ask us to amend, supplement, delete or block data that is factually inaccurate, incomplete, irrelevant or if it is being used or collected in a manner that contravenes the law.

Right to be forgotten

The right to be forgotten is no longer limited to the deletion of objectively incorrect data, incomplete data or data that is no longer relevant. You may also have your personal data deleted if they are no longer necessary for processing, if you have lodged an objection, if data must be deleted on the basis of a rule of Union or national law or if it concerns data relating to children under the age of 16.

Right of opposition

You may request that we no longer use your personal data. For example, if we use your data for marketing purposes, but also for special personal reasons, such as in the event that you do not want a friend who works for us to be able to view your ‘sensitive’ data.

Right to transferability of data

The right to transferability, data portability, means that we must ensure that you can pass on your digital personal data easily. So also in a form that can be used by another organisation.

Rights of those involved in profiling

Profiling is another word for automated processing of personal data. You do not have to collaborate on profiling for marketing purposes. If you do not appreciate this, you can object. We are obliged to stop processing data for direct marketing immediately

Withdrawal of consent

Within the framework of the General Data Protection Regulation, we are now also obliged to request your prior consent. For the AVG, such a so-called pre-ticked box, which was ticked by us in advance, was sufficient, but now no longer. You are always free to revoke your permission.

If you have any questions or if you would like to make use of one of the rights, please e-mail or use the contact form on our website.
